The Mesorah Trip Giving your son a monumental growth opportunity of a lifetime!

This summer, Camp Emes is once again joining Project Mesorah on “The Mesorah Trip” to Poland.

Our trip is an awe-inspiring journey into the rich heritage of Jewish life in pre-war Poland. We travel throughout Poland, visiting cities, Yeshivas, Shuls and centers of Jewish living. Although many of the Jewish areas were destroyed, there are some that still stand, a lingering Jewish presence still felt.

We travel to..

  • Lizhensk, Warsaw,Crakow,Lublin
  • The Nojik Shul (last remaining Shul in The Warsaw Ghetto)
  • The Chevra Lomdei Mishnayos Shul (Outside Auschwitz)
  • The Town of Ger and the Ger Bais Medrish
  • The Shul of the Rema
  • Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin (The Yeshiva of Rav Meir Shapiro)
  • The original Beis Yackov of Sarah Schneirer
  • The Jewish Quarter of Crakow
  • Kivrei Rav Chaim Brisker, The Netziv, Chemdas Shlomo, The Bach,The Rema, Tosfos Tov, Noam Elimelech, ChidusheiHa’rim, the Sfas Emes, Sarah Schneirer and more.

As we see firsthand the remains of vibrant, “Frum” living that our brothers and sisters in the not so distant past enjoyed, we painfully take heed and we witness a stark and heart wrenching contrast.

We confront the remaining sites of the Holocaust, where so many of Klal Yisrael were tortured and murdered by the Nazis. Yemach Shemam. We proudly and defiantly note the many that died saying Shma Yisrael and the many who kept steadfast to their unstinting faith in Hakadosh Baruch Hu throughout this dark period. Ours, is a trip steeped in Torah values and perspective as we embark to comprehend the incomprehensible.

  • The Concentration camp of Majdanek
  • The Death Camps of Auschwitz/ Birkenau
  • The Warsaw Ghetto
  • The Cracow Ghetto
  • Kivrei Ha’achim
  • The Children’s Memorial (at the Warsaw Cemetery)
  • The Factory of Oskar Schindler and grave of Jan Zwartendjik

The trip is packed with emotion. We revel together in uplifting times of elevated joy, dancing, singing and laughing. As well we share moments of deep reflection, tears and pain.

Onward we travel, armed with a fiery and determined will to commemorate and honor the lives of the six million with a renewed sense of Jewish identity and pride. Deeply inspired, we will now go visit and experience a unique place that is like no other. Eretz Yisrael, this country captures the very essence of our past, the present and our future.

We continue to Yerushalayim, go straight to the Kosel Hama'aravi, and now enjoy what is sure to be the greatest summer experience of your life.
